Fly smart. Reduce emissions. Report.

When you travel with certified SAF, you reduce CO₂ emissions by at least 80% compared to fossil jet fuel.

On flights to and from Norway, the CO₂ reduction is guaranteed – and can be reported directly in your Scope 3 reporting.

How large are your company's flight-related emissions?

Try our CO₂-reduction calculator. Estimate how much your company can reduce and report greenhouse-gas emissions from air travel.

Cut emissions

Not flights

Companies with frequent air travel can demonstrate leadership in sustainable aviation by including air travel in their climate accounts, investing in SAF, and letting climate considerations guide travel and procurement policies.

80% lower CO₂ emissions

By purchasing SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel), you make an environmentally responsible choice — an alternative to conventional jet fuel.

Fly smarter with SAF

Fly smarter with SAF

SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) is an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional jet fuel.

AFSN offers SAF with high integrity and verified documentation, as the feedstocks are refined in facilities operated or owned by AFSN's partners.

The SAF Ecosystem

Used oils, animal fats, residues, or other biomass are collected, purified, and processed to enter the conversion process.

Fly smarter with SAF

SAF is blended with conventional jet fuel in approved ratios before it is stored, transported, and distributed to airports. Each step requires strict control and testing to ensure safety, maintain quality, and guarantee full traceability.

Reduce CO₂ emissions where you fly

SAF from AFSN is produced locally and can be purchased both physically and via Book & Claim — two models that enable companies to document climate reductions whether the fuel is used locally or elsewhere.

SAF is blended into the airport fuel system and allocated to the company through a mass-balance system. AFSN's model allows full traceability from feedstock to aircraft tank and simplifies reporting.

When SAF is not physically available, companies can purchase third-party verified SAF certificates. These are publicly registered and "retired" to ensure a unique emissions reduction. The model is approved by the SBTi and based on recognized life-cycle analyses and GHG reporting standards.

AFSN supplies SAF to Norwegian airports, produced from sustainable European or British feedstock - fully traceable, certified, and made with a low climate footprint.

With St1 as refiner and AFSN as distributor in Norway, businesses receive certified, traceable SAF with efficient production and reduced logistics-related emissions.

Refinery industrial site

AFSN works closely with St1's biorefinery in Gothenburg, which produces SAF and biofuels from a variety of feedstocks using advanced technologies such as Honeywell UOP Ecofining processes.

Certifications

All SAF delivered through AFSN is certified under internationally recognized schemes:

ISCC Certification Logo

ISCC certification confirms that raw materials are sustainable and traceable. It ensures responsible resource use and is approved for both voluntary and regulated markets, such as the EU Renewable Energy Directive.

RSB Certification Logo

RSB certification ensures that biomaterials are produced responsibly – environmentally, socially, and economically. It is internationally recognized and supports the transition to a sustainable bioeconomy.

Report reduced climate footprint

SAF simplifies greenhouse-gas reduction reporting and documentation for both investors and authorities.

The emission cuts are real and additional (beyond mandatory requirements).

Reductions can be reported in accordance with the GHG Protocol and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

All documentation is independently audited and officially approved by Norwegian authorities.
